The Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH) Taiwan assists the hospitals in Thailand with introduction of smart healthcare / medicine (e-health)
The Changhua Christian Hospital to implement the governmental initiative of the New Southbound Policy, to reinforce the interconnectedness between the healthcare industry in Thailand and that in Taiwan and to spread and share the smart healthcare / medicine (e-health) experience in Taiwan led by its Director and Shou-Jen Kuo sponsored the e-health demonstration spot establishment and equipment donation ceremony at the Bangkok Christian Hospital on 12/20, 2017 with Chen-yuan Tung the representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (Thailand) and Rev. Dr. Taweesak Mahachawaroj the chairperson of the Church of Christ in Thailand, CCT present and attending in person and the equipment included the intelligent physiological measurement system and the digital imaging diagnostic kit; moreover, they are about to leave for the Overbrook Hospital Chiang Rai Thailand for the e-health demonstration spot establishment and equipment donation on 12/22, 2017 for the public health and welfare in the northernmost city of Thailand so as to improve the insufficient medical resources in the remote areas.
A memorandum of understanding (MOU) was made by and entered into between the Changhua Christian Hospital and the Bangkok Christian Hospital in June, 2017 for long-term cooperative relationships when the Bangkok Christian Hospital is building a new branch for transformation, so the Changhua Christian Hospital is committed to fully assisting in planning and designing such branch by starting with smart modularization of the existing medical equipment. Firstly, the intelligent physiological measurement system is set up at the outpatient department. Secondly, the digital imaging diagnostic kit is set up at the examination room. A scheme of introducing the e-health conception and system gradually to the Bangkok Christian Hospital helps their healthcare professionals to get used to operating the new equipment in order to operate the intelligent medical equipment in the new branch. Besides, hopefully the in-depth relations between the Changhua Christian Hospital and the Bangkok Christian Hospital can thrive, which not only renders the Bangkok Christian Hospital the top hospital for the Taiwanese merchants in Thailand but also builds the referral mechanism from the Bangkok Christian Hospital to the Changhua Christian Hospital.
A strategic alliance agreement was made by and entered into between the Changhua Christian Hospital and the Overbrook Hospital Chiang Rai Thailand in 2010. Witoon Yongmethawut PhD Director of the Overbrook Hospital Chiang Rai Thailand not only is keen on e-health but also nurtures the ICT personnel for their own hospital information system (HIS) development, so he assigned their personnel for the symposiums and seminars, visits and exchanges at the Changhua Christian Hospital rendering the Changhua Christian Hospital a spontaneous e-health services provider in charge of e-health enhancement for the Overbrook Hospital Chiang Rai Thailand with the equipment donated thereto. This not only enhances their quality and efficiency of the medical services provided and the safety of patients but also ensures fine nursing for the residents in the northernmost city of Thailand by telemedicine made available under the digital imaging diagnostic kit.
The Changhua Christian Hospital promoting the Thailand New Southbound Healthcare Industry Chain Cooperation Plan not only engaged in the partnerships in collaboration with the public and private sectors and the hospitals in Thailand as well as MOU made by and entered into between the foregoing and the Changhua Christian Hospital but also sponsored the 2018 Taiwan-Thailand Smart Healthcare Seminar on 8/28, 2017 with over 200 participants in the relevant domains attending such event. The Changhua Christian Hospital also held the learning tour inviting over 30 officers of the hospitals in Thailand to conduct short-term studies and visits, to pay a visit to the smart healthcare businesses and to join the smart healthcare fairs in Taiwan. The Yuanlin Christian Hospital (smart hospital) also received over 160 guests from Thailand and such field visit gave the guests a real understanding of how a smart hospital is managed and operated.
The Changhua Christian Hospital promotes the New Southbound Plan, upholds the motto of long-term investment and multiple development, expects to bridge the medical industry in Thailand and that in Taiwan, and spreads and shares the thriving fruits and experiences in smart and digital healthcare development in Thailand for mutual preferential accomplishments pursuant to bilateral cooperation in the healthcare industry.
